Sunday, 3/30/2014 to Saturday, 4/5/2014

I ran 3 times this week, 23.5 miles.
I ran 12 days out of 31 days for 114.1 miles, 9.5 miles/run, during the month of March.

Sunday, 3/30/2014: Travel day.

We woke up in Lakewood OH. I was the first one up so I went downstairs and made a pot of coffee. We left for Rochester around noon. Christine drove the Cruze and I drove the Cavalier. Christine said that the Cruze ran very well. The weather was clear and so much different than the previous night. We arrived back in Rochester around 6PM

Monday, 3/31/2014: 6.2 miles, 47:08, 7:36 pace, 44F, night, calm

Garmin Connect Activity for 10K on the usual route in Irondequoit

I didn't realize that I needed to get out to run until after 8PM ... but I did get out. I wore my CW-X tights instead of shorts and a long sleeve tech instead of a short sleeve tech. It was the last day of March and felt warm but there was still a hint of chill in the air.

A fast run to relieve stress was just what I needed. My splits were: 7:36, 7:36, 7:40, 7:42, 7:33, 7:35 and 7:08 over the last 0.2 miles. My relatively flat 10K route was best enjoyed at a fast clip.

Tuesday, 4/1/2014: Rest day ... nothing too unusual.

Wednesday, 4/2/2914: 9.3 miles, 1:11:56, 7:44 pace, 48F, 46% RH, 12 mph W wind, wind chill 46F.

The couch and "NCIS" tried to suck me in plus my right foot ached a bit during the day. But I broke out for a fast 15K on my usual route. It felt good to run. I wore shorts, long sleeve tech, hat and light gloves. The cool breeze almost made me get a jacket or vest but I decided to just go. I warmed up after 2 miles so that was the correct choice. The run felt good. My splits were: 7:39, 7:47, 7:55, 7:51, 7:41, 7:44, 7:43, 7:40, 7:44 and 7:11 over the last 0.3 miles. I don't run slow on the road only on trail. I only have two speeds on road: fast and faster.

Thursday, 4/3/2014: Rest day.

My darling wife, Christine, and I went out to Hilton to see the Hilton Village II apartments. The 2 bedroom apartment that we looked at was OK. We also drove by the Cedar Hill townhouses. Hilton is a bit out in the sticks northwest of Rochester. My darling wife, Christine, is a city girl plus it would a longer commute to work for me than I would like. We stopped by Famous Dave's for a tasty supper.

Friday, 4/4/2014: Another rest day.

I could have ran but Christine made up a nice supper of fish, couscous and salad. So I stayed in. Tomorrow will be a new day.

Saturday, 4/5/2014: 8 miles, 1:03:37, 7:57 pace, sunny, 36F, 55% RH, 21 mph W wind, wind chill 24F

I had trouble getting my mojo up and running in the morning. It's April 5th but it was spitting snow and really windy so ... I waited. I got out around noon and did a normal nice and easy run. I didn't want to go hard and tried to go easy. But I usually don't on road.

I really need to get out on trail to train for Sehgahunda but I am having trouble getting motivated. I know what type of animal Sehgahunda is ... been there and done that and have the scars to prove it. It's a lot of work, I know I need to do it but getting the mojo to do it is a bit of a problem.
