Monday, 4/28/2014 to Saturday, 5/3/2014

I ran 0 times this week, 0 miles.
I ran 19 times in 30 days during the month of April (4 were warmups and 2 were cooldown) for 110.16 miles.

Monday, 4/28/2014 to Saturday, 5/3/2014: Rest days.

My right Achilles acted up a lot on Monday. I had to walk about 200 yards before it would loosen up so I could walk without a limp. It slowly got better during the week but I didn't risk going out for a run.

Tech news ... I ordered a new phone for my darling, Christine. Her old Droid 4 would not charge because of a bad charging port. She looked over the choices at Verizon and chose a LG G2. It arrived on Thursday. She missed the Fedex delivery so I went to the Fedex office out on Manitou Rd after work to get it for her. I activated it ... and then could barely get my hands on it to set up anything else. I did mange to set up wifi. She loves it! Now ... I have the urge to upgrade my old Casio Commando and my oldest son's old LG Revolution. Call it ... smartphone envy!

I also took her out to the Crab Shack on Saturday to use the Groupon that I got her a couple of months ago. We both had the Seafood Trifecta of lobster tail, scallops and shrimp ... excellent!

Oh, I almost forgot! I let my darling Christine cut my hair ... just a bit (OK, a lot) shorter than I wanted. It will take a bit getting used to. I will have to visit the barber to get the sides (what's left of them) trimmed evenly. There are pluses and minuses to my haircut. The pluses are: less shampoo used, no wasted time combing my hair, the wind doesn't bother my hair and no "hat hair". The minuses are: I haven't had hair this short in 50 years and possible sunburn if I'm not careful.

So, it was a restful six days off from running. Hopefully, my right Achilles will appreciate it tomorrow when I tackle the Medved Madness 15 mile Trail Race!
