I ran 4 times this week.

Sun: 7 miles, 58:22, 8:20 pace, Seneca-Titus-St Paul-Zoo-2 Pond-Ridge Run, 26F, easy, calm, 1 stop, no pain. Just your average Sunday long run. My abs hurt from my workouts on Friday and Saturday.

Tue: 6.4 miles, 53:13, 8:19 pace, 3 x Seneca Ave, 28F, night, calm, easy, no stops, no pain. My main laptop is having registry issues. I recovered the registry, then it started overheating. I am on my backup laptop for a while.

Wed: 2.5 miles, 30:51, 11:20 pace, Snow Cheap #5, 32F, dusk, light snow, calm, easy, no pain. A bit icy in the grove and switchbacks but my Yaktraks handled it quite well. I finished 67th out of 110, results here. My headlamp batteries died so I stuck behind a woman who had a bright headlamp until the end.

Fri: 4.1 miles, 34:36, 8:26 pace, FF Happy Hour, 25F, dusk, light fluffy snow, a little windy, a little hard, no stops (except for traffic), no pain. A sweet run in the snow wearing my Yaktraxs!

Sat: A lazy day. I lazed around trying to get motivated to venture forth out to Newark to see my kids and Lyons to see my father. Meanwhile, friends on Facebook were telling about their long runs ... making me feel like a slug.

Mini-Rant: Drivers who don't look right before not stopping while turning right at stop signs, people who take elevators to go up or particularly down and people who smoke. I see an elevator as an opportunity for exercise ... by not using it and going up or down the stairs, not as an opportunity for a break to wait for it to cart me up or down. I tend to park far away at parking lots during the day so I can walk into the store. Parking far away also allows me to pull out rather than back out of the parking space. Choices you make everyday help determine your fitness level.
